Eggs-cellent Fun in Walworth County: Easter Egg Hunts 2014

Hello world!  It’s your friendly Easter Bunny here, doing a guest blog on my favorite topic: Easter Egg Hunts!

Walworth County has so many great egg hunts this month, including some non-traditional egg hunts (ME jumping out of a plane?! Eggs delivered by helicopter?!)…so without further ado, here are this year’s egg hunt locations!

Easter Egg Hunts 2014

 


April 5

Genoa City Retirement Home | Genoa City
10 – 11 am
Join the Genoa City Retirement Home for this egg hunt.  Times are as follows – 10:00 am Ages 2-3, 10:20 am Ages 4-6, 10:40 am Ages 7-8.  Advance registration is requested. Please call (262) 279-3211, if there is no answer please leave a message with your name, child/children’s name(s), age(s), and your number.

April 12

Elkhorn Area High School | Elkhorn
9 – 10 am
Rain or shine; the hunt will be held in the gym if inclement weather.  Bring your camera for photos with the Easter Bunny!  Registration opens at 9 am, with games and the egg hunt following.  We encourage families to consider bringing non-perishable food items for the Elkhorn Food Pantry.

Brookwood Middle School | Genoa City
10 – 11 am
Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10 am with event registration.  Egg hunt is free and open to the public!  There will be a Pancake Breakfast onsite (7 am – 12 pm) for anyone interested; tickets for the Pancake Breakfast are $6.

Burlington High School |  Burlington
10 – 11:30 am
Burlington High School will host the annual Burlington Egg Hunt, beginning at 10 am.

Field Park | Mukwonago
10 – 11 am
The fun begins at 9:45 am with a raffle drawing and procedure announcements.  The children are divided up into age groups, with each group in a separate area.  Once children are given the “go” signal, all kids can race to find their wooden egg (please – only one egg per child).  Return eggs to the starting point for prizes.

Star Center Elementary School | Lake Geneva
10:30 – 11 am
Join the children of Star Center for a fun-filled Egg Hunt, beginning at 10:30 am.

Lake Lawn Airport | Delavan
11 am – 12 pm
It’s the Lakeland Egg Drop 2014!  Thousands of plastic eggs will be dropped from a helicopter onto a grass field.  Children are divided into age groups for egg collection.  Registration for this event is required.  Check-in opens at 9:45 am with pre-drop entertainment and registration.  Please register online here.

April 13

Goodland Memorial Park | Sharon
2 – 3:30 pm
The Sharon Girl Scouts & Cub Scouts are working together to host the annual Sharon Easter Egg Hunt at Goodland Park (behind the school); goodies, free hot chocolate and cookies will be available for everyone that attends!

April 18

Whitewater Aquatic & Fitness Center | Whitewater
2 – 3 pm
Search for eggs and coins in the pools of Whitewater Aquatic & Fitness Center!  This hunt is free for fitness center members; public can take part in the hunt by paying a daily admission fee.

April 19

Duck Pond | Fontana
10 – 11 am
Search Duck Pond for Easter eggs on the annual egg hunt, organized by Big Foot Recreation.

Phoenix Park | Delavan
10 – 11 am
Visit Phoenix Park for a Saturday morning egg hunt!

West Park | Darien
10 – 11 am
This egg hunt is for ages 0-10 years old and will take place in West Park.

Seminary Park | Lake Geneva
10:30 – 11:30 am
The Lake Geneva Jaycees’ annual egg hunt will begin promptly at 10:30am – rain, snow, or shine!  Raffles, eggs, and a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny will take place.

April 20

Lake Lawn Resort | Delavan
10 – 11 am
Guests at Lake Lawn’s Easter Brunch are invited to enjoy an Egg Hunt & photos with the Easter Bunny (photos are 11 am – 3 pm)!

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa | Lake Geneva
11 am – 3 pm
The Easter Bunny will entertain guests throughout the resort throughout the day, and the Easter Egg Hunt begins at 1 pm!

Skydive Milwaukee/East Troy Airport | East Troy
12 – 2 pm
High flying fun happens here at the Easter Egg Hunt & Bunny Jump!  Pictures with the Easter Bunny start at 12 pm, and the egg hunt kicks off with the bunny jumping from an airplane (weather permitting) at 1 pm.  There is no cost, but we do request canned food items for the East Troy Food Pantry.

The Abbey Resort & Avani Spa | Fontana
12 – 1 pm, 2 – 3 pm
Join The Abbey Resort for their Easter Egg Hunts – starting at 12 pm and another one at 2 pm!
