This spring fed lake is a notable Muskie breeding ground and is surrounded by top-notch resorts, summer homes, and beautiful public access parks. Spend some time in the secluded inlet or make your way to the bustling shoreline and you’re sure to bring home quite the catch at supper time
Looking for a laid-back spot to take the kiddos and enjoy some time observing wildlife? Head out to Mill Pond in East Troy! The pond is teeming with bluegill and home to hundreds of turtles, making it a great place to observe the animals in the wild. Pack a lunch and enjoy a pondside picnic and peruse the trail system for a short hike.
Located 3.9 miles from Elkhorn, Silver Lake is home to a sizable population of Largemouth Bass, Trout, Panfish, and even Catfish! Fish from the shoreline, or hop in a canoe to test your luck on the water.
Helen Rohner Children’s Fishing Park, Williams Bay
Just off of Highway 67 in Williams Bay lies the Helen Rohner Children’s Fishing Park! In honor of local resident Helen Rohner, the fishing park is perfect for kiddos of all ages looking to try their hand at fishing. The park features access to the Southwick Creek (a hot spot for Brown Trout), worm digging area, Native American History Trail, playground, and wetland boardwalk. Fishing classes are offered through Geneva Lake Conservancy throughout the summer season.
Whitewater & Rice Lakes, Whitewater
Nestled inside the Kettle Moraine State Forrest Southern Unit, Whitewater and Rice Lakes are teeming with fish, wildlife, and natural beauty. Notable species include Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch, and Bass. With the towering forest, rocky outcroppings, and unbelievable views, its easy to forget you’re in Wisconsin and not in a fairytale forest.
Rushing Waters Fishery, Palmyra
