Snow lovers unite, the ski hills are open! Both Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva and Alpine Valley in East Troy are open for skiing. Luckily, both locations can make their own snow, so we are not dependent on Mother Nature to pull her weight. If you are looking for something to do with the kiddos during their winter break, consider heading out to Grand Geneva for some Ice Skating or Sledding – again, they make their own snow! And, if you are still in need of some gifting ideas, gift certificates to enjoy the winter wonderlands are a fantastic option.
Taking The Stage
If you have never been or it has been a while, I recommend taking in the Christmas Show at The Dancing Horses Theatre in Delavan. There are shows at 1 pm and 7 pm on Saturday and 1 pm on Sunday. It is an amazing display of athleticism for both the horses and their riders. The costumes and performances are like a Vegas show on horseback – truly amazing. Plus, the Christmas Show features a special presentation with their mini unicorn and Santa makes a stop in to say Merry Christmas.
If you need more magic during this holiday season, we have the cure. The Illusionist Tristan Crist is performing on Saturday and Sunday at 5 pm at his Theater in Lake Geneva. If you have not seen one of his shows, it will leave you stunned by the pure talent of Tristan and his team. It really is jaw dropping, like when a helicopter appears on stage!
