Movie in the Garden: The Haunting (1963)
Walworth County will be crawling with ghosts and ghouls this weekend – one of my favorite holidays – Halloween – and it’s on a Saturday!
The Baker House in Lake Geneva, is hosting a Movie in the Garden showing the 1963 version of The Haunting starting at 7 pm on Friday. This is one of the best ghost stories and its being shown in a the garden of one of our historic estates. There will be fire pits and the bar will be open for special hot beverage specials and concessions. So, after the movie, Baker House invites you to stay for their Costume Cocktail Party from 9 to 11:30 pm in their Lakefront Garden.
Halloween Car Parade
Are you missing the parades this year? Want to get out of the house and enjoy the community? We have a special event for you – Williams Bay is hosting a Halloween Car Parade on Saturday at 2 pm from the Lions Field House to the Library. There will be prizes for the Best Decorated Car and the Best Family Costumes. If participating, you must be there by 1:45 pm.

If you plan on Trick or Treating, we have the communities and their times for you – Town of Delavan 12 – 3 pm; Lake Geneva 12 – 4 pm; Town of Geneva 2 – 4 pm; Darien, Delavan, Lyons, Walworth 4 – 6 pm; Bloomfield, East Troy, Fontana, Genoa City, Sharon, Whitewater, Williams Bay 4 – 7 pm; Elkhorn 5 – 7 pm; and Burlington 6 – 8 pm.
Indoor Golf Performance Center
The snow has already started to fly, but that doesn’t mean your golf game needs to suffer. Starting Sunday Hawk’s View’s Indoor Performance Center in Lake Geneva is opening and will be available through the end of March. The simulator includes 26 worldwide prestigious course options. You can book your tee times in 1-hour increments. Each person will use approximately 1-hour to golf 18 holes – so for a foursome – book 4 hours. A great way to spend the day!
