Halloween Thrills at Dan Patch Stables at Grand Geneva
Dan Patch Stables at Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva is offering two ways get your thrills this Halloween. Head over to the stables for a Haunted Hayride on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 pm until midnight. The cost is only $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 4-10. It is cash only though – so come prepared. The first rides of the night are always family-friendly for the younger ghouls and boys.
Enter Dan Patch’s Haunted Barn at your own risk on Friday and Saturday from 6 to 11 pm. Test your bravery and prepare to be scared. The cost for the Haunted Barn is only $10 per person with ages 5 and under free. Again, this is cash only and both activities are on a first-come, first scared basis and reservations are not accepted.
Chad Lewis is presenting Haunted Wisconsin Friday at 6 pm via Zoom from the Aram Public Library in Delavan. From wandering ghosts in the North Woods, to a haunted B&B in Milwaukee. There’s also phantom creatures prowling the woods to ghosts in the graveyard – no place in Wisconsin is without its own hauntings. Call the library to receive the Zoom information.
Black Point’s Sordid & Scandalous & Oak Hill Cemetery Walk
Hear the historic gossip of Lake Geneva on Saturday with Black Point Estate’s Sordid and Scandalous: A Walking Tour of Lake Geneva from 11 am until 12:30 pm. You will learn about the 1950’s bank robbery, the town’s tie to prohibition gangsters and tales of the Lake Geneva sea serpent. The tour also includes more of the “sordid and scandalous” past of downtown and the historic Maple Park neighborhoods. The cost is $10 per person and advance registration is required by calling 262-248-1888 for tickets.
The annual Oak Hill Cemetery Walk is this Saturday in Lake Geneva from 5 to 6:30 pm. The walking tour will highlight the former Lake Geneva residents interred in this historic cemetery. Guests will also learn about the cemetery designer and his work around the Midwest. The cost is $46 per person and advance registration is required by calling Black Point Estate at 262-248-1888.
