I do believe fall has arrived! One of my favorite things to do in the fall are Corn Mazes and we have two right in our own backyard! Pearce’s Farm Stand in Walworth boasts a huge 12-acre maze. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 5 to 12. The Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago features an all-things-apple maze this year. The cost is $6 per person. Both Corn Mazes are open 10 am to 5 pm, Saturdays and Sundays through October 25.
Autumn Harvest Festival
Speaking of The Elegant Farmer, Autumn Harvest Festival is in full swing. An old-fashioned, on-farm experience for the whole family. We’re talking apple picking, train rides, pony rides, hayrides, corn maze, and of course the famous apple pie baked in a brown paper bag. Did I say train rides… yes, I did! Make it a complete experience by riding the East Troy Electric Railroad from the East Troy Depot to The Elegant Farmer, have FUN, and return by train back to the Depot. The Harvest Festival runs 10 am to 5 pm, Saturdays and Sundays through October 25.
So, this week, I have an event for our four-legged friends and their humans. Delavan is hosting a Doggie Paddle at the Mill Pond on Saturday. There will be two times for the paddle – 12:30 pm for small breeds (under 40 pounds) and 2 pm for large breeds (40+ pounds). The cost is $5 for resident doggies and $7 for non-resident doggies. Registration required. It’s the dogs turn to take over the pond and show us humans how to have fun!
