Pet Friendly Walworth County

Pets are as much a part of the family as Aunt Miriam and Uncle Floyd, and there’s no reason you should have to choose between your four-legged buddy and a fabulous getaway. The Lake Geneva area has many options of places to stay with Fido. From bed & breakfasts to rental homes to resorts and hotels, motels and campgrounds, Walworth County has a place for your family AND your pooch to stay and play.

Bed & Breakfasts:
T. C. Smith Historic Inn
(Lake Geneva)
Dogs of any size are invited to the T.C. Smith Historic Inn. Pups share a room with their people, and can run and play in the spacious garden area. Dogs are allowed in the room alone, should their people go out for dinner, and if you’re in need of a pet sitter during your stay, the staff at T.C. Smith is more than happy to accommodate.

Ye Olde Manor House Bed & Breakfast (Elkhorn)
Ye Olde Manor House welcomes well-mannered pooches to their bed and breakfast. They provide a special blanket to guests with pets so the pup knows there’s a spot just for him. When it’s time for dinner, they will recommend pet-friendly eateries in the area.

At The Lake House (Lake Geneva)
For a small fee, pets of all sizes are welcome to stay at At The Lake House. The nearby  Lake Como subdivision has a lovely lakeside walking path perfect for strolling with your four-legged pal that even has clean-up bags and waste receptacles along the pathway. There are several dog parks nearby, and if you visit in the winter, Geneva Lake is the perfect place to talk a walk or play Frisbee on the ice or have your sporty pet join in the fun of ice fishing.

Resorts:
Grand Geneva Resort (Lake Geneva)
The Grand Geneva Resort and Spa will have your favorite fur ball feeling like one posh pup! Special Grand Geneva bedding and food bowls will be placed in your room. Guests will get a door hanger for their room announcing that there is a “Pampered Pet Inside,” a “Guest of Grand Geneva” tag for their dog’s collar, and a clean-up packet to use in the resort’s designated outdoor pet areas. If that wasn’t enough, your pooch will also be spoiled with a special room service menu with everything from grain-free surf and turf to duck and sweet potato to pork and applesauce from Fromm Family Foods.

Rental Homes:
Endless Summer Nites of Lake Geneva (Lake Geneva)
Your pooch will love walking the beach of Geneva Lake while staying at the Endless Summer Nites rental home. Located just two blocks from the lakefront, the beach and local parks are just a short walk. If you’re a morning person, we suggest checking out the Lake Geneva fishing pier just west of the beach area. It’s a great area for Fido to splash around in the water…and he just might make a friend or two, as this is a favorite place for dogs to go play in the water with their people.

Nautical Inn of Lake Geneva (Lake Geneva)
Within blocks of the lakefront, the Nautical Inn makes for a wonderful family getaway for the whole family, including your furry friend. This spacious rental home has enough room to sleep up to 16 people, and up to two small to medium sized dogs. Being so close to downtown Lake Geneva, it’s worthy to note that leashed dogs are welcome in city parks, as well as at Big Foot Beach State Park.

Hotels/Motels:
Eleven Gables Inn & Cottage on the Lake
(Lake Geneva)
Located right on the shoreline of Geneva Lake, the Eleven Gables Inn is a hotel that caters specifically to dogs. The 25 mile Geneva Lake Shore Path is just outside their door, and is considered Lake Geneva’s unofficial dog park. Your family will be busy until the sun goes down with walking, running, swimming off the pier and playing fetch.

AmericInn (Elkhorn)
All rooms at the AmericInn in Elkhorn are pet friendly. Dogs under 40 pounds are welcome.

Campgrounds:
Snug Harbor Lakefront Campground
(Delavan)
Camp out with your pup at Snug Harbor Campground.  Your four-legged friend will love walking along the Wisconsin Parkway. Keep your pet on a leash at all times, and everyone will enjoy their stay!

Jellystone Park (Fort Atkinson)
Jellystone Park is happy to accommodate your furry friends as long as they are kept on a lead. There is a designated dog walk area that has free pet waste bags available for your use.
