There is plenty of great things to do in the Lake Geneva area this fall, and we’ve got the highlights for you right here! Each week, we’ll feature Five Fun Fall Festivities (activities you can do this weekend)! For details or more things to do, visit our website.
- Zip through the trees with the Lake Geneva Canopy Tours or Aerial Adventures.
With the beautiful fall colors & crisp airs, fall is a great time to head to the local zipline & canopy tours. PLUS – both of our local attractions offer other fun activities on-site. Lake Geneva Canopy Tours offers a high ropes excursion and arbor trails for mountain biking and team building programs, in addition to their two-hour canopy tour (featuring eight zip lines, five sky bridges, three spiral stairways, and a unique floating double helix stairway). Aerial Adventures offers a climbing wall, high ropes course, free fall descender, mega ball (seasonally), and team building, in addition to the three-zip line canopy tour.
- Go horseback riding with Dan Patch Stables.
Is there any time better than fall to hit the trails?! The woods are becoming alive with color, and trail rides at Dan Patch Stables are available seven days a week (9 am – 5 pm). Trail rides are approximately 45 minutes and weave through the beautiful Grand Geneva property. In addition to the guided trail rides, Dan Patch offers pony rides, a petting farm, and a haunted hayride on the weekends. Haunted hayrides start at 6:00 pm Friday-Sunday, and the first ride of each night is “family friendly.”
- Golf the courses – you can often find a great deal on golf in the fall season.
There are so many great courses in the area – it’s hard to just choose one! Lucky for you, great deals on autumn golf mean you don’t have to. Visit our website for a full list of golf courses in the area – and to view their deals/packages. Click on the $ sign next to each listing to view their Member Specials.
- Enjoy a scenic drive down one of Walworth County’s rustic roads.
Did you know that Walworth County is home to FIVE beautiful Wisconsin Rustic Roads? Only a handful of counties have more rustic roads than Walworth County. To view the area’s rustic roads, click HERE. For a full guide to Wisconsin Rustic Roads, stop by our Visitors Center to pick up the Rustic Road Guide, available in our state section.
- Find the perfect pumpkin at one of the local patches.
Whether you are looking to “pick your own” or you want them pre-picked, we’ve got a wide seelction of places for you to go. Apple Barn Orchard & Winery (Elkhorn), Busy Barns Adventure Farm (Ft. Atkinson), The Elegant Farmer (Mukwonago), Royal Oak Farm Orchard (Harvard, IL), and Pearce’s Farm (Walworth) all offer visitors the option to pick your own pumpkin directly from the patch. Please call ahead for pricing and “pick your own” availability. You can also find pre-picked pumpkins at all of these locations, in addition to Pesche’s Greenhouse in Lake Geneva.
Check back next week for another five fun things to do this fall!
