Fall Fun Fridays: September 26

There is SO much fun to fun to be found in the Lake Geneva area this fall, so we’re making it easy for you!  Each week, we’ll feature Five Fun Fall Festivities (activities you can do this weekend)!  For details or more things to do, visit our website.

  1. Take an autumn train ride with the East Troy Electric Railroad.
The East Troy Electric Railroad runs every weekend in the fall (September 6 – November 2), going from the East Troy depot to The Elegant Farmer every hour.  PLUS – this Saturday is their “Milwaukee Day” where all of the train cars are taken out, so guests can view the collection.  Train tickets are good all day long (as many rides as you’d like) and cost just $12.50 for adults and $8.00 for children (ages 3-11).

  2. Stop by Apple Barn Orchard in Elkhorn for their 26th annual Apple Fest.
The annual Apple Fest at Apple Barn is this weekend, September 27-28 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Just a few of the activities they will have throughout the weekend are:  face painting, food & refreshments, live music, Walworth County Cloggers performance, jump/slide for kids, tree maze, arts & crafts, and of course – pick your own pumpkins and apples.  If you’re heading out – make sure you bring your own wagon/stroller for your time in the orchard/pumpkin patch!apple barn
  3. Get lost in the corn maze at Army Lake Camp.
Army Lake Camp, located in East Troy, features a corn maze, wagon rides, pumpkin patch, concessions, a climbing wall, and kids’ games.  The camp & corn maze is open September 26 – November 1 on Fridays & Saturdays.  Groups (scouts, schools, churches, etc) can make special group reservations for Wednesdays & Thursdays.  At $8.00 per adult and $5.00 for children (5-12 years old), the corn maze is a great way to have fun this fall!Army-Lake-Corn-Maize
