Summer has officially started, and before we know it – it will be the 4th of July!  We’ve got festivals, dances, fireworks, special cruises, BBQs, and parades throughout Walworth County, and we’ve gathered all of those great events just for you!  Whether you are just  looking to check out the fireworks, want a family festival to attend, or want to know what time the parade is, we’ve got you covered.  (Aren’t we nice?!)

First, let’s take a look at the Fireworks & Parades throughout the area:

2014 July 4 Fireworks Parades

No matter which community you live in, there is a great fireworks display happening near you!   Most fireworks displays begin at dusk, but please check the list above for location, and visit our Events Calendar for more details.  Most parades will take place on Friday, July 4 (with the exception of East Troy) with various times throughout the day.  For information on the parade route, go to our Events Calendar, or contact the community personally.

4th of July Celebrations 2014

Bloomfield, WI

Pell Lake Car & Bike Show | July 4, 10 am – 4 pm
Bloomfield Town Hall Park
Join us at the Bloomfield Town Hall Park for food, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes every half hour, plus the car and bike show!  100% of the funds will go to St. Mary’s Memorial Food Pantry.

4th of July Celebrations | July 4, 12 – 10 pm
Throughout Bloomfield
Parade starts at noon from N Lake Shore Drive & Orchard to Town Hall.  Children are welcome to decorate their bikes to be in the parade.  Food & activities throughout the day.  Fireworks at dusk by the lake!

Burlington, WI

Firefighter’s Dance | July 4, 3 – 11 pm
Echo Lake Park
Held in conjunction with the City of Burlington’s July 4th fireworks celebration, the celebration will once again be held in Echo Lake Park. Music starts at 3 pm with a DJ and live band “Lunch Money Bullies” begins at 7 pm and continues throughout the evening until 11 pm. The fireworks start at nightfall. Brown’s Lake Venetian Night | July 5, 6 – 10 pm
Brown’s Lake
This years theme is “Famous Rock Bands.” The Boat Parade and Water Ski Show starts at 6 pm, and the fireworks are at 9:30 pm over scenic Brown’s Lake.  Get there early for seating!

Delavan, WI

4th of July Camping Weekend | July 3-6
Snug Harbor Campground, W7772-2C Wisconsin Parkway, Delavan
Join Snug Harbor in celebration of our country’s birthday by camping & relaxing.  4th of July activities are all around the area.  Saturday afternoon we will have kids activities, & Saturday night the children can join in the parade to our flashlight lollipop search. Then Karoke at 9:00pm.  Fee: $15.00 – $45.00 per night

Fire Department Pancake Breakfast | July 4, 7 – 11 am
Delavan Fire Station, 811 Ann Street, Delavan
Enjoy a pancake breakfast to start your Independence Day off right.  Everyone who attends has the opportunity to tour the station, climb up in the trucks and try on the fire gear. It is a great way for the community to get to know their local fire department. Everyone has a great time, so come on down!

Let Freedom Ring Celebration | July 4
City of Delavan
Visit Delavan this 4th of July for their annual “Let Freedom Ring Celebration!”  Join them for Carp-o-Rama (fishing derby for kids 15 and under) at Lake Comus, the Canoe Regatta on Lake Comus, Mill Pond activities, the Delavan parade, activities at Phoenix Park (including martial arts & cheer demonstrations), concerts at Phoenix Park, a flag ceremony at Veteran’s Park, and a fireworks display to conclude the day!

All American Cookout | July 4, 4 – 7 pm
Lake Lawn Resort, 2400 E. Geneva Street, Delavan
On the Lawn near the lake and outdoor pool.  Lakeside cook-out buffet with “All American” favorites including burgers, brats, salads, and much more. Live musical entertainment and family activities.  Cost/Fee: $21 Adults $11 child 4-12.

July 4th Lake Delavan Celebrations | July 5
Community Park, Hwy 50 & South Shore Drive, Delavan
Lots of fun for all.  1:00 Bingo, 1:30 Cardboard Boat Race.  Food and Activities for all ages!  7:00 Music, and Fireworks at dusk!

Fireworks Boat Cruise | July 5, 7:45 – 9:45 pm
Lake Lawn Resort, 2400 E. Geneva Street, Delavan
Looking for a unique way to watch the Delavan Lake Fireworks on Saturday, July 5, 2014? Why not reserve a space on our Fireworks Boat Cruise. The cruise is approximately 2 hours beginning from our Lookout Bar & Eatery piers at 7:45 PM. Price includes beer, wine, soda, water, and light snacks. Eagle, WI

Old World 4th of July | July 4-6

Join us for three days of fun, games and patriotic activities featuring an old-fashioned parade on July 4 only. Each of the three days you can try climbing the greased pole, help make ice cream, enter the pie-eating contest, and test your muscles in a tug-o-war competition.

East Troy, WI

4th of July Festival | July 3-6
Village Amusement Park, West Street & Graydon Avenue, East Troy
Are you ready for the areas best family celebration with the East Troy Lions Club Annual 4th of July Carnival? Come enjoy the best rides in the area, great food and greatest family fun environment in South East Wisconsin. The carnival this year has wrist bands and tickets available. There will be great food sold by some of East Troy’s best non-profit organizations, including the East Troy Lions Club!

Elkhorn, WI

Star Spangled Celebration | July 4, 5 – 10 pm
Sunset Park, 200 Devendorf Street, Elkhorn
Start your holiday weekend with a BANG! Join us Friday, July 4th starting at 5pm and enjoy an evening in Elkhorn’s beautiful Sunset Park with music performed in our historic bandshell by the Holton Band. Hungry? Food and snacks such as hot dogs, walking tacos, burgers, popcorn, chips, ice cream and soda are available for purchase from the Elkhorn Chamber, Elkhorn 4-H and Elkhorn FFA.  So bring a blanket or chair, family and friends, and have some summer fun with activities for the kids, music, food and a spectacular fireworks show at dusk!

Summer Celebration | July 4, 5 – 8 pm
First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 415 S Devendorf Street, Elkhorn
Join us for an evening food, games and fun. Park in our lot and walk across to the park for the band concert and the fireworks.

Join the Lake Geneva Cruise Line for a Cocktail Cruise aboard the Lady of the Lake to enjoy the Lake Geneva Country Club fireworks. Family Fireworks Boat Tour | July 3, 8:15 – 10:15 pm

Join the Fireworks Boat Tour aboard the Walworth to view the Lake Geneva Country Club fireworks. Snack bar and cash bar available. Reservations required.  $30/adults and $17/children.

4th of July Grand Picnic | July 4, 3 – 9 pm
Grand Geneva Resort, 7036 Grand Geneva Way, Lake Geneva
Celebrate Independence Day with Grand Geneva and Timber Ridge!  Grand Geneva invites the residents of the surrounding communities and travelers alike to our spectacular events on July 4 that will support a great cause. We will once again partner with the Lake Geneva Area Food Pantry by asking each attendee of the fireworks show to donate two non-perishable items that will be used to help the local community members in need. New this year, Lake Geneva Country Meats will be matching our donations with one pound of ground beef for each of the first 250 items donated.
From 3 to 9 pm enjoy the Grand Picnic on the Lakeside of the Resort. Hamburgers, hot dogs, roasted corn, snow cones, and Leahy’s Bratwurst from Lake Geneva Country Meats, the Official Brat of the 4th of July at Grand Geneva will be served!
Activities and Entertainment – Lakeside of the resort…Carnival Midway, Family Lawn Games, Strolling Entertainment, inflatable obstacle course and bungee run for the kids (fees apply).  Face Painters, Magicians, Psychics, Caricaturists, HennaTattoo artists and Balloon artists (fees apply).

4th of July at Hunt Club Steakhouse | July 4, 5 – 10 pm

Enjoy the Taste of the Hunt Club Steakhouse with our Summer Specials or some of our tried and true staples. The Hunt Club Steakhouse features one of the best spots to view Geneva National’s firework display, so reserve your table now for dinner and a show!  Specials include the Fire Cracker appetizer (shrimp skewers), a BBQ Platter, and The Red, White & Blue (dessert).

Outdoor BBQ & Celebration | July 4, 5 – 8 pm
Geneva National Golf Club, 1221 Geneva National Avenue South, Lake Geneva
BBQ – no reservations required, open to the public & members.  Kids Activities – Kids of all ages are welcome to partake in the activities set up on the driving range near the Clubhouse: Face Painting, Jumbo Inflatable Slides, Carnival Games, Inflatable Obstacle Courses – bounce houses, gladiator jousting.  All Kids Activities are free of charge and start at 5 pm.
Live Entertainment – Big Al Wetzel & the Bushwood All-Stars – begins at 5 pm in the Pavilion.  Fireworks Show – Geneva National hosts the areas best and brightest fireworks display in the Southern Wisconsin area. The show starts just after dusk, so arrive early to make sure you have a great view!

Fireworks Boat Tour | July 4, 7:45 – 10:45 pm
Riviera Docks, 812 Wrigley Drive, Lake Geneva
Board the Fireworks Boat Tour on the Walworth to view the annual Fontana fireworks. Snack bar and cash bar available. Reservations required.  $31/adults and $17/children.

Sharon, WI

4th of July Celebration | July 3-4
Goodland Memorial Park | 125 Plain Street, Sharon
Big Wheel races downtown 9-11 am.  Food-hot dogs, brats, cotton candy, funnel cakes, popcorn, pizza and more.  1:00-4:00 p.m. “Uncle Ozzie” polka and a big variety of other music.  4:30 p.m. Karaoke DJ for your listening pleasure.  Enjoy Kids games & bounce house, Craft Vendors, Beer Garden, and Fireworks at dusk.  4-7 p.m. Baggo Tournament.  Thursday night will feature a beer garden and a Karaoke DJ 7-10:30pm.

Whitewater, WI

Family Festival | July 3-5
Downtown Whitewater, 312 Whitewater Street, Whitewater
The festival opens at 5pm on Thursday, with food vendors, beer tent, and carnival rides!  Throughout the 3 days, you can enjoy a parade, food & beer, car show, live music, a water ski show, motorcycle stunt show, children’s petting zoo, pedal pulls, Racing Sausages, and the Madison Scouts Drum Corps International performance at Perkins Stadium – PLUS fireworks on Friday and Saturday night!
