Haunted Walworth County – your guide for local haunts!

Fall is finally upon us, and with fall comes many great things…football games, crisp nights, beautiful fall colors, everything pumpkin-flavored, and of course – haunts!  What would fall be without corn mazes, haunted houses, and spooky stories?!  Check out these great local haunts:

Shockwave Haunts (The Fuzzy Pig, Whitewater)
This local haunt has been around for several years and has made a couple additions over the past couple years, including a comedy haunt!  They feature three haunts (Bloody manor, Malignant Management, and a Mystery Haunt), as well as an adult comedy haunt “Saint Leah’s Last Rites Nursing Home.”  Shockwave Haunts opens Friday, October 4th at 7:00pm and will be open every Friday & Saturday night in October, plus Halloween.  Prices are $8 for one haunt, $17 for three haunts, and $18 for all four haunts.  Visit their website or call (262) 473-4574 for more details.

The Haunt (Pearce’s Farm Stand, Walworth)
This brand new haunt is sure to thrill and scare you.  Featuring both a haunted building and a haunted hayride, guests can choose to do one or the other or both.  Concessions are available for purchase on site.  The Haunt opens September 20th and runs every Friday and Saturday night until November 2nd.  Prices are $16 for The Haunt, $12 for the Haunted Field, and $22 for both.  Visit their website or call (262) 949-4992 for details.

Haunted Hayride (Dan Patch Stables, Lake Geneva)
The Haunted Hayride is back once again at Dan Patch Stables!  Running from October 4 to October 31, the hayride will run every Friday and Saturday night 6:00pm – midnight AND every Sunday night 6:00pm – 10:00pm.  The first hayride each night will be a special “family friendly” hayride.  Prices are $13 for adults and $6 for kids (6 and under).  Visit their website or call (262) 215-2105 for more details.

Corn Maze (Army Lake Camp, East Troy)
This annual corn maze is brought to you by the Salvation Army’s Army Lake Camp.  The corn maze is open September 27-November 2, with group reservation only days every Wednesday and Thursday.  Fridays (5:00pm-8:30pm) and Saturdays (11:00am-8:30pm), they are open to the general public.  They also offer wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, concessions, a climbing wall, games, bounce house, and more.  Maze prices are $8 for adults, $5 for children 5-12 years old, and children 4 and under are free.  For details, visit their website or call (262) 642-6400.

Dr. S.Cary’s Haunted House (Jellystone Park, Fort Atkinson)
Returning for its 4th year, Dr Scary’s Haunted House is redesigned and bigger & scarier than ever!  With a covered waiting area, this haunted house is open rain or shine and features two separate haunt attractions.  Dr. Scary’s will open on October 4th and continue every Friday & Saturday night (7:30pm-11:00pm) until November 2nd.  Prices range from $12 to $25; save money by buying your tickets online or by bringing in 2 or more food items!  For more information, visit their website or call (920) 568-4100.

Haunted Trail (Scenic Ridge Campground, Whitewater)

Death & Dying in the Victorian Era (Black Point Estate, Lake Geneva)
On October 4th & 18th, Black Point Estate and the Lake Geneva Cruise Line are teaming together for a special themed tour at Black Point.  This tour will focus on the elaborate mourning and funeral rituals typical of the Victorian era.  Your tour begins at 4:30pm, and you will return to the dock around dusk (7:00pm).  Prices are $40 per person, and reservations are required.  To make your reservation, call (262) 248-6206.

Zombie Hunt Laser Tag (Geneva Ridge Resort, Lake Geneva)
“The well meaning doctors at the Medical Research Facility have accidentally released a deadly virus that has infected the entire staff and turned them into undead, brain eating Zombies!”  In this themed game of laser tag, your mission is to kill the zombies and survive until the end (each session is about 1 hour long).  Found only at Geneva Ridge Resort, this new attraction will take place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from September 13 – November 17.  Prices are $35 per person (per session).  For details & an online-only coupon, visit their website.  For all other inquiries, call (262) 729-0711.
