The state of Wisconsin has an abundance of outdoor activities this weekend, and best of all – they’re free! All Wisconsin residents can enjoy free fishing on June 1-2. The DNR state trails are free on June 1-2 as well, and there is no charge for ATV/UTV riding on public trails that are open to such use for June 1-2. Plus – on Sunday (June 2), Wisconsin residents can enjoy free entry to state parks and forests. Why not use this opportunity to explore Kettle Moraine Forest, White River State Trail, or Big Foot State Beach?
In addition to all this free fun, Delavan will be hosting Delavan Lakefest this weekend at the Town of Delavan Community Park (corner of South Shore Drive and Hwy 50). There will be free fishing, live music, food, and a beer garden! The first 200 guests will receive a free gift, so arrive early. Saturday’s festivities go from 9am to 3pm, and Sunday’s events are 10am-4pm.
