December is finally here, and with December comes many exciting Christmas events, opportunities, & shows! Here is just a sampling of what the first week of December has to offer…
DAY ONE: This past weekend offered several holiday parades throughout our county – Burlington & Whitewater’s parades were Friday December 2nd, and Lake Geneva & Elkhorn both hosted parades December 3rd.
DAY TWO: “Amahl and the Night Visitors” played at Chapel on the Hill December 2-4th.
DAY THREE: Santa came to town on December 3rd – families gathered on the Square in East Troy to visit with Santa, as he kicked off the holiday season!
DAY FOUR: Lakeland Players presented “The Littlest Christmas Tree” at the Walworth County Performing Arts Center in Elkhorn on November 26-27 & December 3-4.
DAY FIVE: Take a walk back in time at Old World Wisconsin, with their Spirit of Christmas Past on December 3,4, 10, and 11! The 1870s Crossroads Village is bustling with Christmas spirit, and the buildings feature a variety of holiday traditions. Bring your family out this weekend to experience a ‘new’ Christmas tradition.
DAY SIX: Join the Evergreen Golf Club on December 9-10 for Your Holiday Party – feauting comedian Kathleen Dunbar…as well as DJ and dancing! Dinner & the show is only $50/person. To reserve your place, call Evergreen at 262-723-5722 or email email@example.com!
DAY SEVEN: Head to Young Auditorium in Whitewater on December 10th for “Away in the Basement – A Church Basement Ladies Christmas!” Two performance times are available – 2pm and 7:30pm. For details, visit http://www.uww.edu/youngauditorium/season/1112ladies.html
DAY EIGHT: Enjoy a holiday dinner like no other at Old World Wisconsin: The Austrian Holiday Dinner! The dinner is available by reservation only on December 3, 4, 10, and 11. For more information, go to http://oldworldwisconsin.wisconsinhistory.org/, or call 262-594-2922.
DAY NINE: The popular Holton Band Holiday Concert is back and playing two performances this year on Decemeber 10th! They’re playing at 3:00pm & 7:30pm at the Sprague Theater in Elkhorn.
DAY TEN: Explore hidden holiday treasures at Northwind Perennial’s Christmas at the Farm, open November 19th-December 12th. The barn is full of Christmas ornaments and one-of-a-kind gifts for the holiday season, plus decorative wreaths, garlands, berries & more. Hurry over – Christmas in the Farm’s final day is December 12th!
